I am Veronica Anaya.

I’m Veronica Anaya, a rising senior at Hunter College studying Media Studies with a focus on the music and film industries. I tend to use writing, filmmaking, and graphics as my primary outlets. When it comes to my work, my sources of inspiration come from the idea of individuality. My favorite works of art—from music to films—seek to express originality, self-expression, and the individual. What motivates me is the idea of human connection, the human experience, and the sincerity of people. Life experiences that are frequently overlooked or considered to intimate to be recreated are what I want to call attention to. I feel that my art experiment with color, saturation, and contrast, which are tools that I usually employ, when producing the work that I have created and continue to make. I enjoy capturing ordinary moments and express the “indescribable feelings” that we experience in my work, since they are part of life as we know it. My goal is to always challenge myself and work with new mediums.
